Tunnels Beaches is a successful local business, based in Ilfracombe, with a wedding venue and public beaches accessed via victorian tunnels through the cliffs. In 2016 the practice was approached to redevelop an existing cafe and neighbouring house to form additional accommodation for the wedding venue, providing services from concept to completion.
The Courtyards, Tunnels Beaches
The buildings are located within the Ilfracombe Conservation Area, so required careful to meet the aspirations of the client and the approval of the local authority.
Both projects were approved in 2017, with works to the Courtyard project now complete and Woodlands ongoing.
