An Apprenticeship Opportunity in Architecture
We’re often asked how to start a career in the world of architecture. The modern apprenticeship programme provides a great opportunity to be part of the new generation, by joining Peregrine Mears Architects in Barnstaple. An Architect or Architectural Technologist is a well-respected, creative profession offering numerous career options and specialisms, in many sectors. As a practice we are active supporters of the apprenticeship programme, with several members of our staff having successfully taken their first career steps into the profession through the apprenticeship scheme.
“The ‘earn while you learn’ approach to education creates a tremendous opportunity to benefit from lots of real, varied practical experience, whilst gaining a worthwhile qualification” explained Director Perry Mears. He continued “I took a similar route (back in the 80’s)! It is now possible to gain a full professional qualification in architecture without going away to university full time, and significantly, without incurring huge levels of student debt. The hands-on experience is invaluable, building real, practical knowledge and skills, developing a career right from the start.
